NEW BERN, N.C., April 21, 2011- Hatteras Yachts announced its 2010 Dealer Sales Awards at a ceremony held on Feb. 18, in conjunction with the Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show.
The night's big winner was Agie Vicente of Antilles Yacht Sales in San Juan, P.R. who received Salesman of the Year, the company's most coveted award. Agie was recognized for his outstanding sales success during the 2010 model year. Mike Doyle of MarineMax in Pompano, FL was the proud recipient of the Top Gun Award, which goes to the salesman that captures the most market share from competing builders. Paul Reed of Reed Yacht Sales in Lasalle, MI was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award for 40 years of representing Hatteras Yachts.
This year, the Passion & Pride award was given to Steven Gale of MarineMax Motor Yachts in Stuart, FL. Since its inception in 2006, the award is presented in honor of the late MarineMax president Tony Pasca and is given to an individual who displays true passion for Hatteras and for success within the business. Hatteras also recognized team excellence within the Hatteras world of industry-leading marine dealerships with Gold, Silver and Bronze awards. The Gold award was presented to MarineMax Motor Yachts, Clearwater, FL and Yachtcenter S.A., Caracas, Venezuela. Silver level honorees included Antilles Yacht Sales, San Juan, P.R.; Gulf Coast Hatteras, Orange Beach, AL; and Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales, Beaufort, NC. Receiving a Bronze award were Pancarib Marine Inc., Panama City, Panama; SNO Yachts SPA, Olbia, Italy; Caribe Hatteras Sales Ltd., Grand Cayman; Reed Yacht Sales, Lasalle, MI; Seas & Deserts Group, Kuwait; Skyline Marina, Orilla, ON; and Walstrom Marine, Harbor Springs, MI.
Finally, Hatteras presented Distinguished Sales Achievement plaques to its top salesmen, based on the level of retail sales. In addition to Agie Vicente and Mike Doyle, the list included: Jorge Lozano from Yachtcenter, S.A., Caracas, Venezuela; Justin Bassett from Walstrom Marine, Harbor Springs, MI; and Tim Jones from Gulf Coast Hatteras, Orange Beach, AL.
